That was my pov as well. The show began with Rick in the hospital bed, waking up to a world that had completely changed. He was our introduction to this world; and, it was mainly thru his eyes that we saw the drama unfold.

From my POV, it was Rick's story. When Rick left, the story ended for me. I stopped watching at that time and haven't looked at it since.
