Nick Saban has invested in/own a Mercedes dealership. Also, Mercedes has a factory just outside Tuscaloosa. They also are a paying sponsor.
As far as the bruise goes, I have no idea. I do know that Texas A&M students stormed the field after defeating Alabama. Highly chaotic. Incurred a $250,000 fine from the SEC. He probably got the bruise during that.
