And Satan has a desire to prevent God from fulfilling his promise to the Jewish people.
I'm not tracking. Could you explain why you believe that Jews being distinct originated with people not friendly to Jews?
Hummmmm...
Jesus was born of a Jewish woman and He was a rabbi who never denied the Torah.
The apostles and disciples of Jesus were men and women born of Jewish parents - none of which denied the Torah. Tens of thousands of Jews living in Israel the 1st few centuries were all Jews and believers in Yeshua Hamashiach - none of which denied the Torah. There are thousands of Messianic Jews today - none of which deny the Torah.
In spite of what you believe, no Jewish follower of Jesus, past, present, future - stopped being Jews.
Many Christians have tried to show you through both old and new testament scripture that Jesus is the Messiah. The apostle and rabbi Paul (Rabbi Saul of Tarsus) was a Pharisee of Pharasees who persecuted and killed Christians believing he was doing God's will. You have his pre-conversion spirit. The Lord knows how to deal with blind, stiff-necked people like Saul and me and you.
If you have any interest in listening to a rabbi who can give you insight and Jewish perspective into the person of Yeshua - let me know. Shalom!
What you are claiming is absolutely NOT TRUE. You have no authority to pronounce that these people are still Jews, as most of them were NEVER Jews. They are non-Jews trying to sell the idea that you can be a Jew AND believe in JC. You cannot. Either you're a Jew or you believe in JC, and never the twain shall meet. You are no better than a Dimmocommie who makes outrageous claims and tries to pass them off as truth.
JC may have been born of a Jewish woman, but can you name the person who granted him semicha (ordination)? I doubt it, as it never happened. JC made several statements which were in contradiction of Torah law, so don't try to tell me he "never denied the Torah".
Messyonics can continue to waste their time and bandwidth trying to pass off Messyonic "judaism" as authentic Judaism, but it's all a mass exercise at blatant deception. JC was not our messiah; we are still waiting for Him. You can take Biblical statements out of context, you can twist them, all of which Messyonics do in their futile campaign to peddle a person as a messiah, but that does not make it true. It's a lie, and educated Jews all know it. A lie repeated a million times is still a lie, and the statements you are making here are LIES.
I grew up in the United States. I've been listening to the Jewish perspective (and the black perspective, and the gay perspective, and the Latino perspective, etc.) for decades. I know all their perspectives. They're always the victim. And I'm the villain.
There are those who believe just the opposite. Time will tell who has believed the truth.
Yes. There is always someone to blame. It is called being stuck in a rut and it usually doesn’t get you anywhere. Blaming everyone for your problems will only make you bitter and angry with nothing ever changing. Sounds like a frustrating existence, doesn’t it?
But I give these people credit in the link below for first looking for answers and second having an open mind to consider other possibilities.
Many Jewish folks are stuck in this rut. But there are times in their lives, when they might be open to the Christian faith. But blaming them will only force them to shut down.
Gee, what gave me away...?
The Nazis and the eugenicists before them both made the claim that Jews were a distinct race. I was trying not to Godwin the topic.
Jesus addressed that issue, as recorded in Matthew (21:23-27), Mark (11:27-33) and Luke (20:1-8). When the chief priests asked him where he got his rabbinical authority, he responded with a question about John the Baptist, who had baptized him, saying, according to Matthew, "I will also ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. John’s baptism—where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or of human origin?”
The priests then realized that Jesus had trapped them. If they said that his baptism was from heaven, that would have authenticated Jesus' authority. If they said that it was of human origin, they would have enraged the people who saw John as a prophet. So they replied, "we don't know." Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things." His authority, of course, came from God the Father.
I don't think the priests were asking Jesus about His rabbinical authority, but His authority to forgive sins, something that only God (not rabbis) could do.
Jesus didn't claim mere rabbinical authority (though his disciples called him rabbi, among other things). Jesus claimed to be God.
I had breakfast today with a former Jew who accepted Jesus. He said that many of his family members and former friends consider him not just an apostate but a traitor.
