If they were Christian they wouldn’t deny it. They might be conmen though.
Just for one minute, I perceive myself as the Federal government. I expect multiple millions of dollars.
Unfortunately, after that perception, I require multiple showers to remove the stink.
Since Christianity is based on the same OT as the jewish faith, and believes in the same God, what’s the problem regarding marriage cerimonies? Christians simply add to that message the salvation message brought by the death and resurrection of Jesus, God in the flesh, the son of God and the son of man.
Matthew 10:32-33
Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
Nobody today is practicing Judaism as it existed at the time of Christ. Back then, temple sacrifice and burnt offerings, performed by a Levitical priesthood, was Judaism.
Christianity (i.e., the Judaism of Jesus) originated with the resurrection.
The Jews of today practice Rabbinical Judaism (aka, Talmudic Judaism), which originated after the destruction of the temple, nearly 40 years after Christ's resurrection.
Christianity is older than Rabbinical Judaism, though they share common roots.
It's misguided for Christians (including Messianic Jews) to mimic Rabbinical Jews in an attempt to "be more like Jesus." Christ founded the Christian church. We've no need to look anywhere else for guidance on how to live.
The marriage ceremonies should remain fine, in that a rabbi is not really needed for a marriage.
The use of an officiant is actually an idea we Jewish folk picked up from gentiles.
In fact, in Israel, it’s not uncommon (not common, either) for stupid kids to haul off and get married without consent of anyone.
“ Having a text in common does NOT make one a Jew. If both parties are not Jewish, it is not a valid Jewish marriage. Children from such a marriage, if the woman is the non-Jew, are NOT JEWISH. They cannot be enrolled in Jewish schools, go through Jewish ceremonies, etc.”

My wife is Jewish, I’m not.
Our daughters are Jewish. You are what your Mother is.
We were considering moving to Israel in the early 90’s and the State of Israel was eager to help us plan and make the move.
The emissary said to us my daughters will find good Jewish boys, married and have lots of Jewish children.
He asked if that was ok because I’m not Jewish.
Well of course it was.
Not so much as race, as a tribe. Yes, there's a genetic element, but it's not the final word. One can join a tribe (as when a gentile converts to Judaism), or be expelled from a tribe (as when a Jew converts to Christianity). The same cannot be said of races.
“What we’re seeing recently is a level of infiltration that the Jewish community has never seen before, so we don’t even understand what we’re up against,” she said. “It’s new to the Jewish world.”
What is a Jew? blood? belief? membership?
Being Jewish has historically been a self identification process. Many Jews have identified as Christians for various reasons throughout history.
If Jews infiltrated a Christian church, what would be the response?
Do a search, there is much of Jews infiltrating Christian churches. But remember, this is the internet as this posted article is. There is an agenda.
Bottom line, all we all are being infiltrated. False prophets is NOT new to the Jewish world........................ they need to know their history.
Until fairly recently, many Christians of all persuasions were guilty of this, not just Catholics. For example, in predominantly Lutheran Germany which contributed to the Holocaust.
“Orthodox Jews might not agree with Messianic Jews being Jews.”
Depends.
If they are Jewish, then they are heretics.
If they are not, then they are (sometimes) frauds.
Most non-Jewish Messianic “Jews” are pretty honest about not really being Jewish. I don’t have a problem with them, provided they are honest about who and what they are. It’s not like I think following Jewish customs, practice, and law are bad for anyone.
In fact, I know of several notable converts to (proper) Judaism who came to Judaism from Messianic Judaism.
I view it as a great bridge between our peoples.
Repercussions to others....
So many mezzuzot and marriage ceremonies are not valid. And children not religiously recognized as legitimate. What a terrible mess.
This hurts so many people that it’s fortunate the ones who did this live in modern times. There used to be “lashes” prescribed in the punishment for such things. Shunning and excommunication don’t seem to be enough.

Three Great Ways to Excommunicate A Misbehaving Jew
BY ZACHARY SOLOMON on JTA.org
“Doing any of the above could land you a nezifah, a one-day ban from the community. You retire to your house, speak little, and feel remorse.
A niddui, a step stricter, is a week-long censure in which no one but your family may associate with you, or even sit within four cubits (six feet) of you.
And finally, for the worst, you’ll land a herem: indefinite punishment in which no one is permitted to work with you, or basically go near you.”
Well, no. You can convert. Ruth was a Moabite, but became as Jewish as anyone else.
You know better than that.
You don’t even need a rabbi for a proper Jewish marriage.
Many Jewish leaders hated Christians (followers of Christ) long before Christians did anything to them. Read the Gospels and Acts.
Agreed. A lot of damage was done.
I am glad that we can see beyond this and see the truth.
And until “Christians” give up this false hatred of Jews, there will never be peace.
So? Jews account for 75% of democrat votes and democrats believe you can call yourself anything you want to call yourself.
Unfortunately, the hatred was always mutual. Jewish leaders persecuted the early church. And the Babylonian Talmud (written long before Christian anti-Semitism was a thing) says the vilest things about Jesus and Mary.
“And the Babylonian Talmud (written long before Christian anti-Semitism was a thing) says the vilest things about Jesus and Mary.”
I am 50% Jewish by ancestry but didn’t realize that. Not good.
