In the days before the tragedy, IATSE had been threatening a large-scale strike that would have crippled Hollywood production.
Among the complaints were overworking staff and poor rates.
Baldwin recorded a video of himself encouraging the union members to strike if they felt they needed to, saying studio bosses ‘don’t give a f*** about you’, that the union shared online.
Guns should also never be pointed at anyone ‘unless absolutely necessary to do so...

“Alec Baldwin and the crew “
pointing a gun at a member
TREAT ALL FIREARMS AS THOUGH THEY ARE LOADED
weapons on set are also never to be used for ‘horseplay’
This looks like it’s on Arec, not the crew.

The person who pointed the gun and pulled the trigger bears the guilt.

It’s not like the loaded gun was handed over to chimp to see what would happen... but it might as well had been.

Yeah Alec that one in a trillion ‘accident’ is the result of not following industry standards and procedures for safety. So really no accident at all.

The fact that he is an arrogant SOB might have contributed to the accident, too.
He didn’t and probably still doesn’t respect firearms and those of us who do. This kind of arrogant stupidity will make a person not take safety seriously and it will get people killed.

Forget Hollyweird’s rules for a moment. He broke all gun handling safety rules taught every day by law enforcement agencies and professionals.
BTW, as a rabid anti-gunner, why is he even touching a firearm?

Best reply I’ve seen said if the scene called for him to put the gun to his head, he would have checked.
