Bought By Blood

Bought by Blood.

Jesus, even though He is part of the Godhead, humbled Himself and became a man; obedient even to death on the cross as payment for our sins. As it is written in the Gospel of John, that God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Therefore, God has highly exalted Him and given Him a name above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow.

If ever you need to feel valued as an individual person, put your own name in that verse. Jesus, for me, choose to leave perfection and was willing to suffer and die for my sins. God, being Holy, Just and Righteous, demanded punishment for man for giving his authority over to the devil. And God, also being Merciful, made a way for mankind to be forgiven and to be restored to fellowship with Him, because He is also Loving. The Just for the Unjust.

As a result of this divine interaction, God gave those who believe an everlasting soul to become His child and to be given the Holy Spirit, empowered with peace love and joy. We are accepted in the beloved, in other words, God sees us through the lens of Jesus' Perfection and not by our own faulted merit.

In this world we will have tribulation, but to be of good cheer, God says, I have overcome the world. I never had a father figure, so being able to call upon my heavenly Father to give him the honor of a hallowed sacred name, all my requests and needs are known, so I can spend time having fellowship and hearing the story I love to hear; God tells me that I love you so much I gave you my Son so you could become my daughter.

As my husband and I enter into tour golden years we have seen how devalued people are. I have long had a dream of having a formal dinging room for holiday dinners so everyone would have a comfortable place at the dinner table. Recently I found a cherry dining room set, it's wood grains and fabrics had the quality craftsmanship I was looking for. When we asked for a couple of young men help to load it we were told by a woman behind the counter she could not discriminate so my husband told her to come help do the work. She left and did not return but some men came and helped us,

When I look at my family gathered in thanksgiving for our daily provisions I see that from one man and one woman who are soul mates and lifetime friends that we helped bring to life our children and grandchildren. We raised our family with deep values of loving God, to know the Good News, to accept Jesus as their Savior, and then as parents endeavoring to put into their lives a value-building self esteem.

On Veterans Day we remember the forgotten foundations. From the beginning of America when an Italian explorer, Amerrigo Vespucci, helped discover a new land till now where we live in a land that from the founding has been the ground breakers, the pioneers of a new country and of a unique way of governing. As it developed it became a source of greed for King George. There were revolutionary war heroes who shed their blood to form and keep this country and establish its borders. I have two veterans in my family and am a veteran wife; we have a family history, a story a foundation that we built upon, but too often we as a people and nation forget that our blood bought borders were bought by precious people. We ought to honor them by keeping our borders free from all invaders who see us, our nation and our successes as a means of building their own kingdom.

God Loves America. When the Hebrew slaves were about to be set free Moses told them to take a lamb without blemish and make it a part of the family for four days, then sacrifice it , cook it fire and eat it all at once, dressed and standing ready to depart with the blood painted on the door posts. When the Angel of death saw the blood on the wooden door posts he passed over sparing the first born therein. Our Heavenly Father sees the blood heirs, the family of God is not forgotten!

Amen, Mrs. Warrior.

It's time to train our thoughts on Heavenly things.
