A dear friend invited me and my dog over for a long walk and then hot dogs afterwards for Thanksgiving.
Sounded great except I have family obligations.
After reviewing the plans for the day (long drive, visiting with lefty relatives - and the work that will be expected of me, i.e., setting up the tables, helping to prepare the food, clean-up and dishes) - those hot dogs are starting to sound better and better.
This is a day to spend with those you love and care about.
You as an adult get to chose who you spend time with…..I’d go for the walk and a couple of good dogs
