Slightly off topic....
Dump the SAD (standard American diet). Sugar, sugar, and more sugar. And highly processed grains.
Industrialization has done wonders for the world. However, the processing has become too efficient with only one goal in mind — taste and appearance at the expense of food quality.

And I always said, “Son, if you can master the egg, you will never go hungry or be sad”

Hamburger salad types or shroomy type mushrooms?
To: mylife
Foraging is all well and good, but a small, carefully tended garden is far more efficient. Even apartment-dwellers can grow something.

Agreed. Breakfast food is crap.
And many Americans still follow the SAD and even doctors promote the food pyramid.

I’m picking dandelion greens from the backyard lawn to supplement in salads. They only pop up in late Autumn and early Spring. That’s about it for my foraging activities.

We foraged when I was a kid, too. Mrs. Brown wasn’t really happy about her black cherry tree being picked bare.

How are the apple cores used? I avoid apple seeds because they are very slightly toxic.
