FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — On the morning of December 1 at the Western District of Arkansas Courthouse in Fayetteville, Josh Duggar’s child pornography case began.
Judge Timothy L. Brooks filed a 15-page opinion and order Wednesday morning saying Duggar’s prior allegations of child molestation conduct can be introduced as evidence during the trial.
Before adjourning for lunch at 12:05 p.m., Judge Brooks offered detailed instructions to the jury, each side provided their opening statements, and the first witness of the trial was called.
Duggar and his team entered the courtroom at approximately 8:36 a.m. His lead counsel, Justin K. Gelfand, approached a representative of the court and they went over the aspects of presenting documents and graphics to the jury via computers and cameras, settling on a bright, green color to be used for making visual notes or highlights for the jurors to see.
The judge entered the court at approximately 9:07 a.m. and asked for the jury to be brought up. It took a few minutes for them to be seated, as each member had a spot corresponding to their specific juror number.
“It’s like assigned seats on the first day of school,” the judge joked, eliciting laughs from the jurors and the gallery.
He thanked the jury for returning and voiced his embarrassment at the lack of a proper meal break during Tuesday’s final pretrial hearing, noting that it was “difficult to sort that all out” while wrapping up jury selection.

I posted this just for you and here is why. This is what was brought up by the defense opening day and everyone who homeschools should be offended by this bunch.
“Gelfand went on to state that while Duggar is “a great guy,” he “is not a computer genius.” He detailed Duggar’s homeschooling to the jury, noting that his client received a GED at age 16, with no further education after that.”
Need I say more?
Now here’s a family than can be WOKED upon.
Y’all remember this family, right? Wife having babies than the grandkids start coming.

This is the first I’ve heard about child pornography.
I’ve heard that part of his defense, would be that other people had access to the computer which allegedly was used to download the child pornography.
I also heard part of his defense, is that he is not computer literate enough, to set up the downloading procedure, and the partition of the computer which would hide the pornography from anyone else.
That boy is in a heap of trouble.
Yea he was arrested for it back in April. If he is found guilty it’s 20 years on each count so he’s looking at about 40 years. Jim Bob has hired some of the best lawyers around to defend him, so far I think he has about 4 or 5, about as many as OJ had.
I tell you the truth....this is quite a story.
Not that I wished it hadn’t happened in terms of pain and anguish. But THIS is the story the media should be jumping upon and making a huge deal.
But don’t tell anybody I said that.
And truthfully, it was a reality show I enjoyed once I sat down and put my feet off.
Geez, he’s looking at decades in prison.
I heard he rejected a plea bargain, for which the sentence would have been a number of years, but nowhere near 40 years.
He’s looking at seeing his kids grow up through the plexiglass at prison visiting hours.
Home with a wicked pinched nerve today- wandered over to the trash that is Reddit (true confession) and learned the Duggar soap opera continues.
This family looked wholesome and happy the few times I saw the show. Wow, was THAT a misleading impression. The dynamics must be twisted and sick- and I just wonder if Josh himself was abused, and by whom.
The child porn he’s accused of having is brutal and depraved. Usually the feds don’t bring cases like this without a certainty of conviction.

Yes, he’s in big trouble. He’s a bad seed in that large family. I can’t believe what happened to him to probably get to a point of looking at child porn. He has children for Pete’s sake. Very sad. I hope justice will be served.
Had he taken the plea deal it would have been like 10 or 12 years. Yes even Jared from Subway was smart enough to take the deal but not Josh Duggar.
Just like in the Rittenhouse case, the Duggars have managed to piss off the Judge more than once, plus the Duggars have prior history with this Judge. What did Aesop once say? Familiarity breeds contempt. Speaking of contempt I’m shocked the Judge did not give that to Jim Bob on the first day when he handed JB his ass for being a dick in the court room.
Notice also they have Josh and Anna wearing face masks as they enter/exit the court house.. We suspect this is so the press does not take another pic of them two smirking as they leave.
Notice also how Anna has a wardrobe change. Yes she’s wearing dresses but a bit shorter and more “modern” and less IFB if you know what I mean. We suspect that to make her appear less IFB in the court room.
Plus you know..Anna just had a baby, why is she not home with her? Why is she supporting her ain’t shit husband? She leaves the courtroom when they play the CP he downloaded she does not want to see that. She can’t handle the truth Methinks.
The truth is? That family was all a lie. It was just a TV show, nothing more. They did it for ratings, money and perks.
I’ve been telling you all this from the start, as have a lot of others. I could see right through them.

He’s guilty all right. Such a shame. I’m so sorry for his family. He’s likely going to be in jail till he’s in his 70’s. Wow!

But I still watched from time to time and sort of enjoyed.
This story is blowing my mind.
I’m sure they have Anna playing the part of the loving supportive wife.
