There’s a difference between “bribes” and “protection money” in this instance? I think you and I are in violent agreement on this. The NFL is paying to keep these groups from speaking out/protesting against the NFL. That does include the players in the locker room, but I don’t think many players would put their careers at risk, YET, until they have other sources of income.

we probably agree ... but the folks at the top are also very, very woke and the entire organization has hired like-minded people from the top down. Joe Lockhart worked for them for a few years. This is not the NFL we grew up with.
they want to avoid the locker room wars at all costs. most players would rather have the steady money but it only takes one bad apple to set it off. just look what kapernick set off.
They also launder money to the 'rats this way. They kill many birds with one stone. The people calling these shots are almost 100% lawyers BTW.
