The eight-time All-Pro linebacker was booked and charged with two felonies. The charges were reportedly brought forth after Taylor allegedly failed to let authorities know that he’d changed his home address — something he’s required to do as a registered sex offender.
Lawrence Taylor, 62, was booked around 8:45 p.m. ET on Thursday night and released just hours later, according to jail records acquired by TMZ Sports. A spokesperson for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the former NFL superstar was charged with sex offender violations.

He was drugged out of his mind when he played...but who cares, watching him was UNREAL. I think they didn’t even bother to tell him what to do - he lined up where thought best, and, if he felt like it, he pass rushed, if not he dropped back. All up to him.
John Madden said that he was the only Defensive player in the history of football who could dominate a game.
So, if he’s a bit late checking in for a non-crime (in my book)...big deal, I’ll still vote to acquit.

Not that big a deal. He was charged in 2011 for sex with a 16-year-old, who apparently was a prostitute. He was charged now with not reporting his change of address, being a sex offender.

Taylor got royally screwed when he was convicted of sex with a minor. The fact the girl looked well over 16,had proof of her age and other proof she was a legal adult wouldn’t have mattered at all.
It’s a victimless crime and if Taylor was punished then too should the girl who lied.
It’s more than that. The cops could have gotten ahold of him anytime and tell him to come in and register. Instead they pay him a visit with handcuffs. Unnecessary. But then some cop gets to tell his friends he arrested LT.
What a train wreck.
Well sure I imagine so given that lowest paid guys make over 200K. Compare their arrest rate among those of that economic status and see how they compare.
This is somebody who seems to stay “in trouble” all of the time.
I had assumed he was in prison.
Sean Taylor would have left his a distant memory. Saw him say “BOO!” to a receiver and the receiver instantly dropped the ball. Sean could dominate the game on a mediocre team like the deadskins.
Victimless, except for the girl, who, if I recall, was sexually abused from a young age and forced into prostitution when she was 10 or 12.
Madden overstated a bit, but certainly LT dominated more games than any other player to date.
