I was in Aldi’s yesterday and they had boxes of cream cheese.
They also have real butter at $1.99 (limit 6), regularly $2.89.
No problems here either. I went to Ralphs and bought 2 at the same price I paid for them for years now. Used to buy cheddar cheese and melt them for my bagels back at Stanford.
whats the brand of real butter? i’d like to actually pick some up
This is bullbleep fear porn. A week ago I was in a Kroger and there must have been 300 boxes of several different brands of creme cheese.
So what is the draw of Aldi’s?
I walked into one just out of curiosity and was not inspired to shop there.
Are their brands of exceptional quality and/or value?
you scored.
socal, Walmart brand butter $2.98/lb Challenge $3.47/lb and KerryGold $3.48/8oz; costco store brand $10.99/4lbs, KerryGold $14.99/2lbs.
Interestingly, costco has no cream cheese and walmart has generic at $1.12, but only lowfat Neufchatel Cheese Philly at $1.96 for the 8oz brick package. All the ‘regular’ Philly ‘bricks’ are showing out of stock. The remaining stock is preflavored spreads or whips in tubs. Tillimook is also out of stock
I went shopping today at kroger and walmart. Plenty of cream cheese and butter was 1.97, limit five with their digital coupon. Got a bunch of dreyer’s icecream 2/$5. too.
