Joe Biden’s presidency is in trouble. This past weekend, it was abruptly torpedoed by Senator Joe Manchin – live on Fox News.
The U.S. President’s signature piece of legislation is – was – the so-called Build Back Better bill. It’s been pitched as the most ambitious overhaul of American social policy since Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal of the 1930s, and Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society of the 1960s. The New Deal’s legacy is programs such as Social Security (more generous than the Canada Pension Plan, and created decades earlier); the Great Society’s legacies include Medicare and Medicaid – health insurance for the elderly and poor.
Build Back Better included an evolving list of promises, from clean energy to subsidized child care, free prekindergarten, free community college, a poverty-reducing child credit modelled on Canada’s, and expanded health coverage.
Mr. Biden’s Democratic Party has a slim majority in the House of Representatives, but the Senate is split 50-50. To pass Build Back Better, Democrats can’t lose a single vote. For months, they’ve been fiddling with the bill, and whittling it down, in an attempt to woo Mr. Manchin, a Democrat from tiny, Republican-leaning West Virginia.
But on Sunday, the lawmaker popped up on TV to announce that, after all these months of his own party tying itself in knots trying to mollify, cajole or charm him into supporting at least some of Mr. Biden’s plan, he’s out. After months of saying he was on the fence but persuadable, he’s off the fence – with both feet on the other side.
It leaves the core of Mr. Biden’s agenda somewhere between limbo and non-existence. Which explains why, in response to being blindsided, the White House released a scathing and deeply personal statement, unprecedented in tone and directed at a fellow Democrat.

His poll number are about the same as the number of people that ACTUALLY voted for him (in the 39% range).
It’s going to be interesting and in some ways fun to watch how the powers that be dump Biden and the whore in 2022.
One possible scenario:
Biden resigns for health reasons.
Harris becomes POTUS.
Harris chooses Hillary Clinton as VP.
Harris has an accident or contracts a deadly virus.
How is the country one vote away from a 5 trillion dollar bill after just passing 2 separate 2 trillion dollar bills? The Dow Market Cap is 10 trillion. Something seems off

I don't understand why people keep saying this. The Clintons are finished as a political force. Donald Trump nailed the coffin shut.
The party has moved far to the left from even 2016 and there's no place for neocon Hillary and her #MeToo "problematic" husband among the woke social justice warriors that are guiding the party today.

Getting rid of Joe will be easy. They'll get him to step down for health reasons. First, however, they need to remove Kamala from the VP spot, which will be much trickier. My theory is they'll create a new cabinet post ("Secretary of Infrastructure?"), and move Kamala into that job. They'll sell it as a "lateral move." Kamala will be paid a boatload of money behind the scenes in exchange for agreeing to "enthusiastically accept this important and challenging assignment." Kamala gets to save face, and they'll then move their preferred 2024 nominee into the vice presidential spot.

This is from a Canadian newspaper. “Tiny” West Virginia has a larger population than six of Canada’s ten provinces.
I know that’s the leading theory and may have merit but what about this.
Chatter is that Harris was told Joe was going to step down on December 15th. She threw a hurry fit and said no way were they hanging the presidency on her. And who can blame her? Nancy is getting ready to slink away to Florida according to many reports.
So if Joe resigns and Camel-a and Nan refuse to step up say hello to President Grassley.
That’s as possible as about anything else. Lol.
