Has she been treated for delusion yet??
Thank you Fed subsidies to produce cars nobody wants.
“Electric vehicles are simply a means to limit people’s ability to travel autonomously.”
EV’s are the ultimate anti gov’t effyou
You can buy home charging stations for $699 for Lowes. There are also companies working on backyard solar panels that will recharge the vehicle off grid.
It gets no more independent than that
“Thank you Fed subsidies to produce cars nobody wants.”
200k deposits on Ford EV F-150 trucks were sold before they hit the market. Just because YOU do not want one does not mean others don’t.
I like it.
I’m a big fan of home-built aircraft, boats and cars and I definitely like some of the home-built electric vehicles I’ve seen so far.
Very creative use of discarded tech repurposed as daily transportation, tools and toys. What’s not to love?
And this will happen more and more now as more of the current EVs are crashed or worn out and sent to the scrap yards to be parted out and repurposed.
Lots of potential cool yet to be discovered by people playing with ideas in barns and garages here and around the world and I can see myself wanting some and having some sooner or later.
things are always better when middle men are required... to charge the batteries, to establish recharging stations, to replace the rare earth metals for the batteries...
Cough up $14 grand every 7-9 years for new Chinese battery arrays!
CEO happy speak. Based on the Volt and the Bolt, GM has a very long way to go to catch up to the electric vehicles game. As electric trucks go, it appears Ford is in the lead, though I don’t know they have produced anything more than media test vehicles. So far the Electric Silverado is just vaporware, and based the Bolt, something to be avoided until the batteries are proven safe.
Sorry GM sells junk. With the exception of the Corvette perhaps.
I left GM for Toyota years ago. And I ain’t going back to GM, unless I somehow lose, my mind and develop a penchant to buy low quality, low reliability junk.
That’s electric’s problem. I was appalled to see the Leaf can’t even make it to Savannah from Atlanta. Electric vehicles aren’t for people who enjoy road trips. There’s also millions living in apartments who have no way to charge an electric vehicle at home.
GM is “first” in EV technologies.
It can drive itself to a GM garage when parts start to fail take out loan light appears.
Bingo!
the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t
Otherwise, GM is too close to The Government--and maybe--The Party.
How many had Fed subsidies or tax credits?
Having spent more than 30 years in the fleet industry, I understand a few things about EV’s, and newer vehicles in general. . . they have become a ridiculously complex and expensive way of performing what is really a simple task - motor transportation.
I realize that EV’s have their fans, and that’s great - if it were to be a choice. Unfortunately, it’s not going to be a choice. The Biden administration is quickly and quietly killing off internal combustion vehicles. We are to be left with the choice that government dictates. Some people will have no choice at all.
The idea that we should put all of our eggs in the “electric” basket is anathema to freedom, but that’s where we’re heading, like a runaway freight train.
