Anyone, see at the electricity price in Europe right now. The UK is firing up the coal plants and mothballing electric trains for diesel. Steam trains are coming:)
UK should never have left the EU... electricity is cheap there, thanks to the Russian pipeline.
I guess we are all getting to to point we will have to rebuild the Rio Norte Line to save ourselves...:(

Triple expansion engines and the exhaust from the two large steam engine cylinders went to the low pressure steam turbine at 9 psi. Then to the condensers.
That turbine was about 6000 HP if I remember right. About 6100 tons of coal per trip.
Of course, it made just a little over half a trip.
