Rand Paul mocks Democrats for failing to pass cannabis reforms
twitter ^ | Dec 23 | Sen. Rand Paul

@RandPaul

Democrats control the House, Senate and White House and we still can’t get cannabis banking reform bills passed. This should be a complete no brainer, as so many states have legalized now and we need business to operate.

I would go much further and end the federal war on a plant entirely, but at LEAST let legal business operate as legal business.

It probably doesn’t help that the two Democrat leaders are almost as old as the movie Reefer Madness, and clearly gave it two thumbs up when they watched it.

The war on cannabis is among the many dumb things Congress does, but it’s by no means the dumbest. Every year hundreds of billions of your dollars are wasted....

Wasn’t “Don’t Bogart That Joint” a top ten favorite when Nasty and Chuckie were doing the 69 together in the ‘70s? Asking for a friend.

I read somewhere about a growing trend of invasion gangs hitting legal marijuana businesses. The interesting part was the businesses are not making much money due to regulations and taxes. Some had to go out of business after being robbed.

That is secondary. They must destroy the economy first. AOC demands it.

No point in buying legal if that shit is taxed so heavy it’s cheaper to buy under the table or black market.

The drug cartel lobby would be very upset with their politicians.

Delta8 is NOT, “very intoxicating”, at least as compared to Delta9. Much less psychoactive. A number of States have outlawed it, because they feel the letter of the law(hemp) is being skirted. Delta8 is in hemp in extremely small quantities, what they are doing is not extracting it from the hemp plant; they are synthesizing it from cannabinol (CBD), therefore,not an extraction process from the plant, but a chemical process from one of the plants extractions.
As a side note, a number of CBD companies are NOW selling Delta9 edibles (that have the same amount as found at marijuana dispensaries) and claim they are within the law. How are they making and selling (to all 50 States) is simple math.
To be considered Hemp, the plant can not contain more than .03 Delta9 by dry weight. End product, no more than .03 by dry weight; hence, make gummies slightly larger,but maintain ratio,legal. A 5000mg gummie, about the size of a quarter,can have 15mgs of Delta9, now that, would most definitely “very intoxicating”.
