Actually the ICE car takes much more energy to keep you warm when stranded.

The EV has a giant battery to keep your posterior warm.

Heater drains @15 amps. As an EV owner, I try REALLY hard to avoid using the heater.

I concur. The electic car typically hasn’t had readily available heat because electric converted cars use heater cores.

Batteries, especially those used in electric cars, make LOTS of heat. In fact, cooling is a big issue.

While I don’t own an electric vehicle for other reasons, Tesla cars also have a “Dog mode” wherein you can set the temperatures and walk away knowing your dog is actually more comfy than you are. This mode can last a long, long time.

If your tesla has a range of 200 miles left, you can run your heat for a few days. Can’t with an ICE.
