“Snowstorm could develop into first bomb cyclone of 2022”

in the olden days a couple of years ago, we just called this a REALLY BIG snowstorm ... i guess “bomb cyclone” sounds more “scientific” and much scarier, you know, because only CLIMATE CHANGE can cause a “bomb cyclone” ..

It’s January. What do you expect, if you live from Maryland to Maine?????

It’ w-i-n-t-ee-r!!! There are cyclical winters, where ya gets an inch or two, or a few feet, or more. I’ve ssen that for the 30 years that I lived in snow country. These bomb things have an older name, called ‘blizzard’. These weatherfolks that want to browbeaat ya into this climatechange nonsense can’t fool me!! They shouldn’t fool you, either.

I think that was the year the Ohio National Guard was called out and were rescuing people trapped in cars on the Interstates using tracked M113 armored personnel carriers (!!).

January of 1977 was one in which extreme cold, lots of snow, and the entire continental US had cloud cover for the entire month. Plus all states got snow.

It was used as proof we were entering a NEW ICE AGE, which was all the rage back then.

Cindy Wilson lived about 20 houses away around the corner from me for a long time, until a few years ago. I think she moved off when the kid(s) finished high school. I never met her, but some friends used to get invited to her Halloween parties. She always had awesome decorations with “life sized” crashed UFOs and aliens in the yard.

Ten inches? Six inches? An inch an hour?

Barely worth mentioning.

Parts of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island could see up to a foot of snow depending on how fast the storm strengthens. Boston is expected to get around 8 inches, according to AccuWeather.

What the hell? I’ve lived in places since I was a kid where 12 or more inches of snow was just another winter day. Now some snow is considered a friggn BOMB?!?!?!

Imagine how cold we would be without all of the Global Warming.

I am going to do my part by firing up my 15 year old Suburban and driving 1/2 mile down the street to top off my gas tank before the next wave of Biden gasoline price increases hit.

Ah, a brush with greatness. All I remember was that Rock Lobster was one of the biggest party songs of my generation.

Turning everyone fearful of the weather is the Left’s goal. They’ve succeeded with many of the “snowflakes”. Terms like bomb, vortex and crisis throw these idiots into a panic.

(One of my kids and her husband/children are in VA. The snow is a nuisance, but they’re loving it. She’s a Southern girl but she’s seen her share of snow. Thank goodness common sense has prevailed with them. The other kid in NC just goes on about her business.)

My sister said they only got 3 inches in the northern part of Buffalo.

Still, enough to shut the city down considering the awful job they do plowing.

I was out Monday morning at 8am, in the rain and 40° weather, chainsawing a tree blocking the road. Came down overnight in a windstorm. I really missed the 70° and clear weather we’d had the day before! I wonder what kind of carbon footprint my Stihl has?

It is very rare for them to get much snow on the north side of Buffalo. The snow belt is really about 10 miles south of the city down to the PA border.
