Cholula is excellent but much too expensive. Tapatío is indistinguishable and costs only 99¢ a bottle. And have you tried Tabasco’s green jalapeño version? It’s fabulous on eggs or sardines.

I learned to make my own hot sauce. Peppers are easy to grow and half a dozen will provide you with Beau coup peppers.

Valencia—Something like 99 cents for a quart bottle...yeah I go through a couple a season as well as a couple of big bottles of Sirachas. Gotta keep the spice going...
