The Cincinnati Bengals started playing football in 1968. They had never won a road playoff game before Saturday night.
It seems impossible to go more than 50 years without one road playoff win. But the Bengals stood at 0-7 in road playoff games.
Things are changing for the Bengals.
The Bengals, whose last playoff win before this season came in January of 1991, won their second playoff game in eight days and are moving on to the AFC championship game with a 19-16 win over the Tennessee Titans, the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson got a deflected interception with 20 seconds left near midfield. It was Ryan Tannehill's third interception of the game, and it was crushing. That set up a game-winning field goal as time expired.
There were multiple times on Saturday in which it seemed the Titans would storm back from a 10-point deficit and crush the Bengals' dreams. But the defense made some huge plays. And Burrow, who tied an NFL record by being sacked nine times by the Titans defense, brought it home. He hit a huge 19-yard pass to Ja'Marr Chase to put the Bengals into field-goal range. Rookie Evan McPherson then hit the field goal to put the Bengals into the NFL's final four.

Sweeeet!
I’m a big Burrow fan. And the Gator kicker won it for the Bengals.
Now go Buffalo!
the rookie kicker deserves a lot of credit
stone cold success
burrow praised him in the end of game interview
Well PsychoPsaki will be in a good mood on Monday. 🤮
YAWN! I can’t believe there are anti-American FReepers, but oh well . . . (do they kneel in their living rooms when the national anthem is playing?)
An excellent game.
Next week’s match regardless of who they play should be epic.
Thinking Packers make short work of San Francisco next.
They shouldnt have had to rely on that kicker. The GD refs gave the Titans a gift with that fake int.
Watch Packers running back number 28...
If I was the Chiefs, I would be a little concerned about Buffalo.
From my understanding, no players on the Bengals has ever kneeled. To me, they are American’s team!!
Will do.
Have to switch over to the game soon. Watching Batman Marathon on Decades in between games. :)
We may be seeing the rise of the youth in the NFL. Winning after getting sacked 9x is incredible, and the rookie kicker has ice water in his veins.
I will now sit back, and a count the posts a-la "I don't care about football...I hate the NFL..I hate so much and care so little that I MUST post on a football thread...really...I mean it...it's not living rent-free in my head nor am I conservative virtue-signaling AT ALL..."
That’s why i didn’t want them to win.
I must have missed something, what’s Psaki’s connection with the Bengals?
Her husband is from the Cincinnati area and is a big Bengals fan, and thus she is as well.
👍👍👌 I am getting ready for the pack right now

What’s her name?
9 sacks by the Titans.
3 picks by the Bengals.
cRaZy game.
GO Chiefs!
You know more about Pepermint Psaki than anyone should ever know.
I’m sure there are commie fans of the Titans too. Maybe Taylor Swift.
