Our local animal shelter is a no kill shelter. All the regular dogs usually find homes except the pit bulls or mixed pit bulls.
I really feel sorry for them, In the ad it will say Charlie a 6 year resident or Abigail a 8th year resident.
They should put them down and get them out of their misery. They stay mostly in their little kennel cage all their life.
That is inhumane.

That sign is probably going to contribute significantly to a very large insurance settlement to the young lady.
I’ve got a couple of Pomeranians which I don’t think they could ever do this. One would lick you to death and the other wold drive you crazy with her non-stop barking..
There is only one breed: the dog breed.
I did years of property management and heard every plea for the “best behaved dog”. I made them jump through every hoop, but I wasn’t allowed to refuse someone with the “emotional support card”. In retrospect, the lawsuit for denying them might have been a better choice than a lawsuit by one of the other tenants with her face half eaten (because of course the Landlord is at fault for the Tenant’s dogs) In Seattle/King County.

Because, honestly, otherwise I would have expected them to kill her.

Pit Bulls should be eliminated from Earth.
If you look at Craigslist most of the dogs are pit-bull or pit-bull mix. Not sure if that is indicative of the dog population in general.Since the shutdown so many people in my suburban DC (former commuters) area have gotten dogs -- a very many are the breeds as you described. And, from what I see of them, in that these happy new owners are incredibly incapable of handling them (including my next door neighbor whose pit-mix charged my dogs and me a few weeks ago -- thankfully for it, it responded to my commands to stop while the family ran in circles yelling at it), many of these dogs will be up for re-adoption soon.
