Popcorn, get your popcorn!!!!
Mescaline got its name from the Mescalero Tribe, so “yes”.
I was required to use Peyote as part of joining the tribe and marriage, but I’m a “no” on all that as a general practice.
My parents were hard core Irish alcoholics. I barely drink, as a result. Will drink a glass of wine or some beer to be social.
And my wife is an MD, so she generally opposes all drugs, as well. Too many wasted lives.
My good friend Bob Burdett, an attorney in Chicago, took a case to the Supreme Court defending Church of the Awakening’s right to use Peyote as a sacrament.
He lost the case, but justices said they’d never seen a better brief.
My parents were Irish alcoholics too. I also have 1 or 2 glasses of red wine every night. Perhaps we are related. Except I really do not like beer. Going to drink some with very good friends watching Super Bowl. A once-a-year occurrence.
Me watching my dad drunkenly give mom an Irish Kiss (a punch)and her take it out on me, also drunk, turned me away from booze hard.
Dad is sitting in Huntsville for life.
Mom rotted away and died somewhere. Don’t know. Don’t care.
Never saw either after age 12. Dad sends letters from prison that get briefly perused and burned.
