Disneyland is moving forward with a vaccine mandate for its employees, which is a stance several workers unions support, but talks between the two sides reportedly broke down when the unions requested park guests also be vaccinated or show a negative test. Disneyland declined, a report from Voice of OC said.
Disney first announced a vaccine mandate in July 2021 for theme park employees. However, several unions went to the negotiating table asking that the same mandate be applied to park guests. Negotiations lasted several months until yesterday.
Advertisement Grace Campista, who serves on the board of Workers United Local 50, said on Facebook, “We requested that Disney require guests to be vaccinated or a negative test as well and they said no.”
At least two unions that represent Disneyland employees supported a vaccine mandate for workers. Ada Briceño, co-president of Unite Here Local 11, told Voice of OC, “Local 11 strongly supports employer vaccine mandates and we will not comment on specific negotiations with any of our employers at this time.”

Disney goes on The List.
Hope the employees lawyer up and take them to court. Oh and when Disney injures and kills their employees. Not only will they civilly liable, but criminally liable.
The “I was just following orders” will not sell.
It’s a small world after all!
It’s a small world after all!
It’s a small world after all!
As they jab you with a needle
Didn’t know they were unionized. So much for taking the grandkids there, I guess.
“the unions requested park guests also be vaccinated or show a negative test. Disneyland declined”
LOL! Disney needs the money badly. Between their parks being shut down for 2 years and their planned blockbuster movies fizzling out because the theaters were closed, they have to be hurting.
“Hope the employees lawyer up and take them to court.”
The employees are the ones demanding it...
The guest are sprayed as they enter the park. It’s actually a fine mist that really can’t be seen. They call it Magic Kingdom mist.
Hey maybe that can be their defense in criminal court?
I highly doubt that.
You got quit believing everything you are told.
I can assure you lawsuits are coming.
It is becoming a caste system—slaves (lowest caste) must be vaccinated.
“Just say no” is the only correct answer.
Oh sure, I’ll stop believing the employees’ unions public statements as to their position on the matter. They must be lying.
Disney stock should have collapsed but hasn’t. Too many stupid people think Disney is still a family oriented company when it is more homosexual and pedophile oriented.
Pretty DeSantis issues an executive order making it a crime to demand employees get injected.
first one i’ve seen in a long time: a succinct, pretty well written article by one person from a trad journalistic outlet.
the one question i have left is what about disney’s non-union employees and the other unions (the article implied there were more than two). are they on board with this or will they just be fired? one is left wondering if the negotiations are still on going amongst some of the parties.
For what? A) the vaccines don’t prevent covid at all and B) no guest is forced to go to Disneyland.
Disney doesn’t hire employees, they hire cast members. I assume that the cast members play acting at being janitors are members of a different union than those wearing costumes. If one of the unions is the SEIU then they are very woke. The Teamsters not so much.
Disneyland is in California, not Florida.
Misinformation!
I've heard a lot of parents say they are forced to go.
At this point, they’re just punishing their employees. They don’t care about their health. I’d bet the rent they need to shed employees due to all this China flu insanity.
