Very interesting book on the subject with lot of source material included as scans. The book summary there is worth reading.

Short summary - we knew a LOT was going on, but didn’t want to reveal we’d broken their codes. So FDR made the call to inter everyone for the duration. It was not just the terrible call it has been made out to be, it was a very tough call.

All right, I ordered the book, but my wife is not going to like it because we are living in a 30-foot RV and she thinks I already have too many although I have put over 1,000 in storage. This looks like a great source, and it seems to make such good sense.

All my life the regular media liars told me that we rounded up all the Japanese because America is a racist country. I had never heard of anyone but Japanese being rounded up and put in camps.

Then several years back I stumbled across the fact that we did indeed round up Germans during World War I and put them into internment camps.

So yeah, once again I found out the media liars are liars.
