Bill Gates technical innovation:

1. Buy an existing operating system from a guy and cut a deal with IBM to make it their standard OS on IBM PCs. Prosper.
2. Copy the Macintosh look and feel and call it Windows. Prosper.
3. Continue the model of waiting for others to innovate and then buying their stuff when you can and stealing it when you can't. Prosper.

Seems like a good resume for being the guy in charge controlling everyone's immune system.
