My mum named me after Greek mythology as she was obsessed with it â I hate it so am changing it to something normal

Haha, this reminds me of a friend of mine in high school.

Wasn’t that a Wishbone Ash song? I think it’s cool but that’s not my name!

The article barely mentions this fact, but I’d like to point out that 28 years ago the name wasn’t a thing.

Lovely back story on Persephone.
Her dad, Zeus, raped her, then she married the Devil in the Underworld...

That’s Greek mythology for you. And Egyptian is pretty out there too.

How can she be ‘anonymous’ when the whole story is about her name?

Wishbone Ash?? Have not thought of them in ages. Saw them once when I was in high school. Great band!

Plus this savvy mum-of-seven used a bunk bed hack to fit six of her kids into ONE room.
What do her kids call her?

I predict she will go with Sephamika or perhaps Roshonaseph.

Side story on names:
My wife and I named our first son "Emerson". (I always loved the name: Emerson Fittipaldi and I was a race fan).
He was in middle school, I was driving, and he asked: Why did you give me that name?
I gave him a smart alec answer: "Just be glad I didn't name you Sue.
Fast forward 6 years. He is in the Navy, riding in a car with a buddy and calls me:
"Dad, I just heard the song. Now I get it."
"What are you talking about?" (I'd long ago forgotten the moment, he hadn't).
"Johnny Cash. I'm listening to the song. Now I get it, what you said.
Kid has a memory like his Mom.
