Even on here, people love to go to war. Even if it is for no good reason. LET’S PUT PUTIN DOWN like the dog he is, seems to be the rallying cry.

Does anyone ever think what will fill the power vacuum? Someone more in line with the Schwab POV, a real UN fighter for justice is my guess. Maybe a transnational or transexual. Someone who can both control the population, and split them in half. Maybe a Ukrainian? Somebody more amenable to making deals. For the right price don’t ya know?

But that doesn’t make sense. Maybe the Communist Chinese? The PTB seem to be in a BOHICA mode when it comes to the Commie Chinks. . . . . . Sorry for the racist word there, but it is a descriptive we need to start using.

The CCP are THE enemy we need to hate on. It sure shouldn’t be the Russkies. They are not our friend, but they surely are not our enemies either.

China is the one to worry about, so these PTB’s weaken a big nation on the Communist Chinese border. Watch and see which way Xi’s gaze turns to.

YEAH, that’s the ticket. A lot of empty land, a weakened nation, the US on your side. Don’t doubt me that China will make a land grab. Will these same people hating on Putin cheer when Xi puts a stranglehold on dissidents? You betcha, maybe the smoke from the ovens will be seen even in Alaska. Or will it just be workers camps.

Does anyone remember that was exactly what the camps in Germany were? Except they exterminated the weak and sick. Would Xi do that? Naw, those Uighurs are lying.

The Eastern European countries which begged for, and mostly received, admission into NATO had been under Soviet and Communist domination for decades (apart from the countries which had been part of Yugoslavia, who had just been under Communist rule, but not Soviet domination). They did not want that to return and hoped that NATO membership would protect them.

It's easy for Ron Paul, a citizen of a superpower, to dismiss the yearning of small countries to be free, independent, and ruled by the government of their own choice rather than one imposed on them from outside.

Oh yeah. Putin is now a proven and inveterate liar.

No one will trust him again. Not even China trusts him.

beancounter13 A perma-war monger. Not for truth/justice and the American way. NO, permanent war with anyone who disagrees with people we can never vote for, or have no control over. Would I allow a international force to draft my son or daughter? Would we want this international force to put down us Jan 6 insurrectionists?

Take this crap elsewhere, like to DU. This is in the communist international plan #1-100

Not ideal for a military alliance, but the potential NATO had for invading Russia has been nonexistent. Putin’s invasion diatribe was aimed at reconstructing the Tsarist empire. And with Georgia, Crimea and now Ukraine, Russia had demonstrated again and again its willingness to forcibly annex its neighbors. Blaming the victim doesn’t erase that.

I wish we had pulled out of NATO by the end of Trumps term. Would have saved us from having our pockets picked and wringing our hands over crap like today 🤪

Europe has the means to finance their own NATO they’re just too lazy and cheap

Isn’t Russia a democracy? New Zealand? China? North Korea? Who decides what constitutes a legitimate election? Pelosi and Schumer?

You know. You can bow to China for all I care.

Texas was here before the US, and we will be here long after.

NATO serves a better purpose than the UN. It is time we destroy the UN, and build NATO to include all true democracies as a way of fighting the authoritarian governments of the world.

As long as we're not footing the bill and ALL NATO members pay their full share.

Otherwise, it's a non-starter. We're broke.

Putin’s invasion diatribe was aimed at reconstructing the Tsarist empire

If Brandon & our NWO Elites had critical thinking skills, and weren't still wedded to Cold War thinking, they'd encourage Putin to attempt to reconstitute the former Soviet Union. He'd be broke in a month.

That is why it is important for NATO allies to hit the 2% of GDP target. The USA can still keep its force structure in Europe, which before the Former KGB agent Putin launched his invasion into Ukraine. With the shared collective economic commitment for NATO to counter Putin’s expansionist dreams, the USA if it needs to can move some of its 75k forces stationed in Europe (number before Putin’s invasion) and say move 25K of those to the Asia-Pacific where we currently have 55K stationed in Japan and 28K in South Korea, who is the long term geo-political threat.

People here seem to forget, after the fall of the Berlin Wall 1989, it seemed that Gorbachev and Yeltsin (not perfect) were moving Russia to market economics, with freedom of the press, elections, etc. But 11 years later, the Russians decided to put Putin, a former KGB agent in power. I remember fondly, Putin immediately put in former KGB agents in administrative positions and curbed the Press immediately. That was a red flag from jump.

Now imagine you were a former Eastern European country in the Soviet Sphere and the first thing you do is freely choose to want nothing to do with anything related to the Former Soviet Union. Everyone of those Eastern Block countries chose to have nothing to do with Russia? Makes you wonder why and you think in 2000, only 11 years after getting out of the Soviet Union, Russian installing a former KGB agent as leader of Russia might have made those peoples say screw this.

And lets go back to the Cold War era with the Communist Soviet Union. Ukraine never really bought into being in the Soviet Union, Stalin always saw them as a threat to the Communist party. In fact, in the 1930’s, the Ukrainians were small family farmers and Stalin and the Communist wanted to take state control over the farming. The Ukrainians resisted it and Stalin ordered to shoot those who did not turn over their seeds and when there was mass push back, he confiscated all of the crop seeds and starved some 6-7 million Ukrainians.

You think they perhaps have some long memories with Putin, being a former KGB agent for the Communist, leading an invasion into their country.

A report that Ukraine pilots will pick up their jets at Polish airfields to fly against Russia. Report from Lookner. This could widen the war .
+++++
Have you thought this through?

Does anyone know the range of these aircraft and how far away their Polish home base is from the battlefields that are really important. There has to be a limit on how great a range they can cover.

I wonder if it adds up. I hope so. Maybe the FR Knowledgebase will tell us.

Nice reasoning unless you live in say, Georgia or Ukraine.

Live and let live is great, and the world is an infinitely better place when people follow that rule.

The problem is when the other guy says NO. You either have to let him have his way, or insist by necessary means that he indeed leave you alone.

“ A breath of fresh air. Someone willing to go against the deep state narrative playing out with identical messaging on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc.”

You got that right! I am amazed that everybody seems to buy in to the deep state “I love Ukraine” message from the same people who brought us: climate change, the election was not stolen, get your shot or lose your job, or everybody will die of covid, or impeach Trump …..you get the idea.

Everybody seems to forget the color revolution that Obama launched in 2014 to oust that government or the 20,000 who have died in the east of the country at the hands of the Ukrainians.

Lot’s of very gullibles here.

It will depend on where Ukraine airfields are located that are usable.

The Ukraine and Georgia are free to defend their borders but when Biden doesn’t defend ours his foreign policy dictates should be ignored by Americans.

It’s none of Russia’s business whether Ukraine joins NATO

I've always thought extending NATO to countries that border on Russia is a mistake. The only exception the the Kaliningrad Oblast; sort of a wart on the Baltic Sea.

It didn't go well with Georgia and is not going well with Ukraine.

The member nations of the Three Seas Initiative could extend to a military alliance and possibly get Finland to join. Yes it borders on Russia in places, but is not NATO.
