During the 2008 presidential campaign, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin warned that if Senator Barack Obama were elected president, his “indecision” and “moral equivalence” may encourage Russia’s Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine. Palin said then:
After the Russian Army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence, the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next.
For those comments, she was mocked by the high-brow Foreign Policy magazine and its editor Blake Hounshell, who now is one of the editors of Politico magazine.
In light of recent events in Ukraine and concerns that Russia is getting its troops ready to cross the border into the neighboring nation, nobody seems to be laughing at or dismissing those comments now.
Hounshell wrote then that Palin’s comments were “strange” and “this is an extremely far-fetched scenario.”
“And given how Russia has been able to unsettle Ukraine’s pro-Western government without firing a shot, I don’t see why violence would be necessary to bring Kiev to heel,” Hounshell dismissively wrote.
Palin made her remarks on the stump after Obama’s running mate Joe Biden warned Obama supporters to “gird your loins” if Obama is elected because international leaders may test or try to take advantage of him.

Of course she could see Russia from her house
Did you forget the sarc on that post?
Considering this is Obama 3.0
....
While anything was possible, the fact was, at the time that the Deep State, Soros, and the DNC hadn’t yet overthrown the elected government and installed their puppet government, so no need for Putin to invade a then-friendly country.
“ Did you forget the sarc on that post?”
Don’t need it. 100% of what I say online is deeply rooted in either obscure references, irony, or over the top sarcasm. It would be exhausting placing a /sarc reference at the end of every sentence
Palin is both tougher and more savvy than people are willing to admit. She did some serious negotiating with the oil companies. She’s much tougher than 100% of Democrats and RINO’s, and just about any other Republican you can name short of Trump and deSantis.
These people have no shame whatsoever. No shame, no guilt, no honor. They can not be reasoned with.
Stop your wacko talk.
President Trump supports military aid to Ukraine, as he clearly stated today. I think he’d know if the current issue in Ukraine was Soros or our 2020 election, or any of that silliness.
In fact he directly blamed the invasion on Biden’s weakness.
Not on Putin to the rescue.
I can dig it. But many might not know how Tina Fey got her big start.
Sarah worked tirelessly - all ALONE - in the wilderness setting the stage for someone like Trump to come along.
That is an untold story that she deserves credit for. She was MAGA before MAGA was cool. And she had her reputation destroyed for it. Not just by the left but by the Bushies and Mccains.
“Stop your wacko talk. President Trump supports military aid to Ukraine, as he clearly stated today.”
You must be confused - this article isn’t about Trump.
Absolutely. Plus she got racked over the coals for issues her kids had which is rich considering…….Hunter. At least none of her kids were photographed with hookers smoking crack.
The nuclear question McCain asked that she “hit out of the park.” Still waiting for the answer she gave. It’s like the muslim burial at sea given Osama. No proof. We just gotta believe.
No but your take on Ukraine is NOT what President Trump believes at all.
This stupid crap is anti Trump and you need to be reminded of that.
Trump as of this morning clearly called for much more military involvement to help Ukraine.
He’s become really flexible in his third term.
No - but your comments weren’t about reality...

Very good point, McCain would have gotten beat in a bigger landslide if not for Sarah.
