How long does it take to recharge the battery again?
If you have to ask, you can't afford it (the time it takes...)
A1: Of your personal time, virtually none for daily commute driving if you have a place to charge it at home. Basically, a gas car takes 5 to 10 minutes to fill up at the gas station once or twice per week. Contrasted with an EV taking just seconds to plug in when you get home -- at which point you can ignore it like you do your gas car while you eat, have fund with the wife, and sleep. Then the next morning it takes just seconds to unplug it and head off.
A2: I imagine you're talking about when away from home on a trip. The newer ones take 40-50 minutes to charge at a DC fast charger from 15% to 80%, giving you another 200 to 250 miles. That's bad if you're retired and driving the country. Probably not a deal-breaker if you're working a lot and use your car for few trips per year (especially if you're married and have two cars anyway: might as well have both an EV and a gas car to have the best of both worlds).
INVEST IN MOTEL STOCKS...............
Hoe much does it cost to retrofit your house to be able to charge your EV..?
