I have seen no one claim that the Ukrainian govt is anything other than what it is

I have seen plenty of posts (before invasion) that painted Putin as the savior of Christianity and the whole world

“I expect people here to be smarter than that.”

WHY?

There are stupid people everywhere. They are among us.

“will never dishonor those that fought hard. Like my son.”

Totally agree! My son too survived the cesspools of Ramadi....but 15 of his buddies didn’t.

Our leadership dishonored their sacrifices just like Afghanistan.

I’ll never listen to Lindsey Graham and his Neo cons ever again....it’s all about the money. Stop the Ukraine nonsense.

The wisdom of “George Washington’s Farewell Address to the People of the United States” is as relevant today as it was in the 1790’s. Here’s an excerpt speaking to today’s Ukraine situation.

“The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop.

Europe has a set of primary interests, which to us have none or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence therefore it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities.

Our detached and distant situation invites and enables us to pursue a different course. If we remain one people under an efficient government, the period is not far off when we may defy material injury from external annoyance; when we may take such an attitude as will cause the neutrality we may at any time resolve upon to be scrupulously respected; when belligerent nations, under the impossibility of making acquisitions upon us, will not lightly hazard the giving us provocation; when we may choose peace or war, as our interest guided by justice shall counsel.

Why forgo the advantages of so peculiar a situation? Why quit our own to stand upon foreign ground? Why, by interweaving our destiny with that of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rival- ship, interest, humor, or caprice?”

I agree that W Bush is a globalist idiot and we didn't have to go to Iraq. However, Saddam Hussein did indeed have WMD - his generals included that option in strategy sessions and talked about it later. It's a separate point.

It's weird that Deep State first used WMD in Iraq to get us there, then erased its presence from history.

Isn’t his wife from Ukraine and his mother-in-law just there, and Fox News crew members helped her get out?

I think, as mentioned, that he is sorry he beloved the Iraq story and encouraged people to go fight (and no, he didn’t) and doesn’t want to step in it again.

I have seen plenty of posts (before invasion) that painted Putin as the savior of Christianity and the whole world

There is no reason that he couldn’t be.

God chooses saints and sinners for his purposes.

Vlad Dracula saved all of Christian Europe from the Muslim invaders and was a vindictive sadistic killer.

Putin has certainly been more of a defender of Christian values than any other leader in Europe.

I am not defending Putin but I am saying that Putin is more of a Christian leader than any of the larger European states leaders.

That said Putin is a despot.

I have no idea what that means but I said this in a previous post on this thread.

What I find surprising is the number of Freepers that on one hand call the press liars about all things Trump but are willing to believe the press when they report on the atrocities of the Russians, that the Ukrainians are defeating the Russians on several fronts and that Ukrainian government is as pure as the wind driven snow.

too bad the other warmongers among us can’t say the same. Most of the ones pushing us towards war over Ukraine were the same ones who lied us into Iraq twice.

Yes, that is surprising, isn't it. Main media always "reports" in recent years (and not so recent) in support of a particular narrative, agenda or in cheerleading liberal/prog/one-world causes. They are as detrimental to a conservative USA as is possible.

I have no idea what that means [...]

I think that he meant to write "...to 'no-please' Christians."

I think that this expression may be derived from an old joke about "hunting 'no-pleez' in Africa."

It thus may mean "to kill."

The media and government are bald face liars. I assume anything they are telling me is a lie or at best partial truth which has to be discerned from the crap they spew. I am no Putin fan and am enjoying Ivan getting kicked in the nuts time and again, but the Ukraine is not in our interest strategically or worth a drop of American blood. Secure our border before you waste blood and treasure on that third world rat hole.

As I posted on another thread, discerning the truth about what is going on in the Ukraine is quite difficult in that all parties are lying their asses off.

Those who served during Vietnam remember the rhetoric of that day, and we are hearing the same mantra now.

Nobody is calling for war or active military personnel, all we are demanding is that the U.S. provide the necessary equipment, aka jets, necessary to help the Ukrainians whose cities are being bombed to shit........

There is absolutely no comparison between the Vietnam war and our involvement and what is happening to the Ukraine at the hands of Russia's Putin.

History bears out the disaster that was the Iraqi war

History provided you by the MSM? The same MSM article I posted that you claim is propaganda?

I'm confused, on one hand you have blamed our MSM for filling our airwaves with propaganda regarding everything and now I post an article that proves that Yellow Cake Uranium and Chemical weapons were indeed found in Iraq and you claim that is propaganda.

Is there anything in our MSM that you can verify that is not propaganda since you're so focused on that shit?........Sheesh!
