Tiger makes his first birdie in spectacular fashion
NY Post ^ | April 7, 2021 | Brian Wacker

Tiger Woods has his first birdie of the day.

Playing the 180-yard par-3 sixth, Woods hit a spectacular 6-iron that dropped just two feet from the hole. There would be no lip out this time.

Six players are under par in the tournament and Woods is now one of them after five straight pars followed by the birdie. If there was any doubt about the state of Woods’ game after the long layoff and recovery from injury, so far, so good.

After all the marital turmoil and other Vegas cr**...could care less about Woods.

He lacks the class of the rest of the old timers and the new guys, too.

Best ever. Unreal that he’s playing this well. Jack has the crown with 19 majors but Tiger is an unmatched talent.

The Masters is must see for me. Unlike the NFL, Baseball, Trans swimming, NBA, etc.

Tiger is a beast. I was a scratch golfer on a 9 hole course in Bellmead, TX (TSTI) and played barefoot cause I could not afford the shoes. Beer and golfcarts were cheap back then.

What you say is true.

However, I have to give the devil his due... the SOB is a hell of a golfer.

True, but if I boycotted people who had horrible personal lives or damaging leftist beliefs - I'd never go to another concert or watch any movies.

Tiger’s a champ, always has been. I’m a fan.

Everything that guy said about him may be true. And maybe some of these other posters are feeling sin-free. But I’ve got a serious karma deficit to be throwing stones.

As long as he isn’t driving the cart, it’s all good.

Tiger is a friend of Trump. That's a sign of character to me.

Best ever. Unreal that he’s playing this well. Jack has the crown with 19 majors but Tiger is an unmatched talent.

It's 18 Majors, and until the Tiger worship took hold, the GOAT in golf was {and still is}measured by major victories.

I appreciate Tiger's talent, but until he ties Jack at 18, then Nicklaus is #1 and Tiger is second best.

If Tiger ties him in majors and since he has more regular season victories, he will be the undisputed number 1.

The term, 'unmatched talent' is an opinion, major victories is an 'unmatched fact'.

Only a liberal will argue an opinion over a real fact.

Best ever...opinion.

I was a 10 handicap and if given 10 strokes I could compete with our club champ who was a scratch golfer.

I never believed that I was as good as the champ, even when I beat him three in a row.

Isn't that the purpose of a handicap?

Yep, a lot of these folks really like Trump and just keep in on the down low as far as speaking out. I like that, don’t need entertainers or sports figures mouthing off about politics. Jack Nicklaus really likes Trump as well.

Tiger Woods is the most important golfer of all time. He has done more for the golf industry than any other golfer. Golf exploded in the mid-late 90’s because of his popularity. A certain golf ball company was working 24-7. I wish him well, he has turned many people on to golf. I’ve had a great career because of him.
