I often wonder what life was like for people in Sumer in say 3000 BC.

the population of the world was 25 million or so, smaller than many Asian megacities. And the big cities had populations in 10s of thousands. Most if the world was empty. Things didn’t change, or changed slowly over generations. How did people think?
