My step-daughter went to an elementary school where they had a program for deaf kids (each elementary school here has at least one specialized program for disabled kids, the cerebral palsy school, the blind school, the deaf school, etc.)
You would see a lot of the kids from the cancer hospital because cisplatin had killed off their cochleae. Maybe this could be a way to counter the ototoxic effects of chemotherapy drugs.
Interesting read, I have had some form of hearing loss most of my life.
I can’t afford the really GOOD hearing aides, but the ones I have do help somewhat.
This sounds almost too good to be true, if it works for only one disease, that’s fantastic. If it helps with others, that’s HUGE.
