“Enjoy the mortgage payment that comes with it.”
If it has a toilet and water works, like a small sailboat, it would (maybe) qualify for a home mortgage.
TBH a friend of mine took his car to the shop and the loaner was a Hummer, he let me drive it and I have to admit that sucker had a lot of blind spots.

Simple solution to that: put the passenger in the gun turret in the back, with headphones, to guide you in perpendicular back-up parking. Heh.

I suspect “off road” for most of these vehicles will be mall parking lots.

when that source goes down, and it will go down, how do you implement any plan b to do anything?
You are correct. I grew up in New England with an oil furnace for heat, with radiators. If the power went out, the furnace wouldn't turn on. We had a gas stove and a kerosene heater as a backup.

I agree, as someone who has Rotopax mounts on both my vehicles and has had them save my bacon. I can see someone out in the bush with a trickle solar charger camping for a week to have enough to drive out.
This might be good for occasional trail users who don’t cruise far from home. Most of the guys I wheel with are within an hour drive of their house and don’t carry extra gas.
The other problem is it’s weight. A lot of the time power does not help you if you’re too heavy. The ‘most capable’ offroaders are usually light. Depends on what sort of wheeling you do though.
