One of my favourite interviews with Cyndi was when she was asked about the quirky look she developed, and she said it was mainly because, early in her career, she was so broke that she could only shop at NYC second-hand stores, so her entire look was thrift-store clothing, and cheap makeup, and she made it work. She said the outfit she wore for the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” video cost her less than $25. (1983 dollars, of course)

Weird Al did a good parody: Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch. However, it has perhaps his worst video, so stick to the audio.

Nope Belinda’s and the Go Go’s, “, of “Our Lips are Sealed” is the best.
I like both versions. My point was simply that the FunBoy3 version is not an "insult" to the Go-Go's.
Of course, I greatly prefer Frank Sinatra's version of "Mrs. Robinson".

Ann Coulter? once said that abortion allows women to be as irresponsible about sex as men.
