“America is a fascist state”

LOL. You can’t even talk about the leadership in Russia or exercise countless other freedoms we take for granted.

I’m half Russian and grew up in the USSR. There is f***ing ZERO comparison of true fascist state to America.

Stop with this horses***

More importantly, virtually nobody expected Ukraine to put up anything close to the fight they've put up.

Are you really that stupid, or just that sleazy?

Ukraine has no weapons.

All their weapons are coming from the USA and NATO.

It's a proxy war, but you are just too sleazy to acknowledge it.

Biden mocked gun-rights advocates who say they need assault weapons to fight the government

Lesson learned from watching Ukraine.

Well, it turns out you do not need tanks and jets to stand up to a big evil government. Patriots can develop off-the-shelf tech to overcome tanks and jets. Patriots can make it painful for an evil government.

You can no longer take freedoms for granted in the West. They are disappearing rapidly. Look around you. Your time of growing up is past. Look to the future. An incredibly oppressive and dictatorial future is coming, in which it’s not clear that Western nations will have more freedom than Russians. You can openly say things in Russia that would get you cancelled or even prosecuted in the West. They have lower taxes and much less regulatory burden.

The future may see a West less free than Russia or China. I grew up in Saudi Arabia also a repressive regime. MUCH more economic freedom, near zero taxes and increasingly, civil liberties appearing. Project 50 years. They may actually catch the West as it becomes dictatorial.

The larger weapons supply started only AFTER Ukrainians beat the initial Russian invasion against what some thought all odds.

In the beginning FRussians were giddy about Russia breaking a record and conquering Kyiv in 3 days showing weak and degenerate America how it’s done.

Now they don’t like us to remember what they said before and pretend that this massive invasion was just a feint.

Ukraine has no weapons. All their weapons are coming from the USA and NATO.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about. The Ukrainians are carrying AK-variant assault rifles, driving T-64/72 series tanks, and driving BTR/BRDM/BMP armored vehicles. Anyone who knows anything about arms knows we didn't provide them with all that. Apart from the stuff they manufacture themselves -- which they do -- the overwhelming majority of the weapons with which they are fighting are holdovers from their time in the Soviet Union/Red Army. Part of the dissolution agreement in 1991 was that they got to keep all the nonnuclear weapons on their soil. To say they "have no weapons" is sheer ignorance.

More importantly, none of what you said has anything to do with the point I made about the predictions for this war. Everyone knew what equipment the Ukrainians had before the war even started, and yet they all still predicted this war would be over in 72 hours. The flow of NATO supplies didn't even start arriving for weeks -- long after Ukraine supposedly would already have collapsed.

And of course, there's the issue of the Ukrainians actually fighting back and using those weapons properly, which again defied most expectations. We all saw in Afghanistan what happens when you give people a ton of weapons but they don't want to fight. Immediate collapse. That's was what most everyone -including Putin - thought would happen in Ukraine also.

Except it didn't.

It’s a CIA war, as usual.

But all you know is what TV tells you. RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA bad! Ukraine good!

There are always issues in the USA but it is part of the cycle and will simply swing back due to the inherent mechanisms of freedom and transparency that are far stronger than in any true fascist state. As well as millions of unregistered gun owners with the ability to use them.

There are no such mechanisms in a true dictatorship and fascism simply festers until revolution or war collapses the regime.

“They have lower taxes and much less regulatory burden.”

LMAO. What is written on paper is absolute BS. When you actually live there and try to run a business, you’ll see the “burdens” and “taxes” soon enough.

Without fools in free states buying their slave labor and oil, these fascist states would be broke with a GDP less than any single US state.

“Act aggressively against Russia...”

No, defensively, not aggressively.

“overthrow a friendly government”

No, overthrew an illegitimate puppet government installed by Russian dirty tricks, in a tit-for-tat that Russia started.

“threaten nuclear missiles near Russian borders”

Didn’t happen, pure invention. Even if true, immaterial, since we have had nuclear weapons in range of the entirety of Russia for many decades now.

Stop uncritically swallowing Russian propaganda, or at least come up with some more inventive lies of your own, because these are not cutting it.

In addition to this while Ukraine didn’t send its troops to Afghanistan, they were one of the coalition partners in Iraq.

Some Freepers served with them and from that time their assessment was “very brave, very bad at logistics, eager to learn”.

Ukrainians started learning from the US how to build a proper military already in 2003. Russians never learn anything.

They are opportunists. The war may not have been started by them but that doesnt mean they cant use it for other purposes.

A hand-held grenade can destroy a tank?

It has been NATO policy for literally decades -- long before Putin -- that NATO would consider for membership any nation that applied. NATO has expressly and publicly rejected Russian arguments that former members of the Warsaw Pact and the Soviet Union were "off limits". And Russia never invaded anyone despite NATO dismissing Russian objections, and admitting former members of the Soviet Union -- such as the Baltic States -- into NATO.

Why else do you think Ukraine sent troops to Afghanistan? It was part of proving it "deserved" NATO membership. So the whole issue of Ukraine potentially becoming a member has been on the table -- publicly -- for well over a decade. This was nothing new.

But despite NATO rejecting Russian's position that those countries should never be admitted, Ukrainian admission to NATO wasn't even close to happening. There was a lot of opposition within NATO, Ukraine still had failed to meet a bunch of benchmarks/conditions set by NATO, and there wasn't any vote anywhere on the horizon. There is no credible claim that Ukraine joining NATO was imminent.

So then why did Putin choose now to attack, when NATO's position was the exact same as it had been for decades? It's because Putin was getting old, wasn't in great health, and thought that his chance to reconstitute the former Soviet Union was slipping away. He attacked not because the Russia itself was threatened, but because of his imperial ambitions of conquest. That's it.

Lol, even your graphics destroy your own argument, since you show that the Baltic states and Poland, who have been NATO members since almost immediately after the fall of the Soviet Union, ALREADY share a direct border with Russia.

So if NATO really wanted to invade Russia, which they do not and never have, they could already do it, and could have done it decades ago. Not to mention that Ukraine is not a NATO member, and really didn’t have a serious chance of becoming a NATO member until Russia decides to invade the country and by extension threaten all the neutral unaligned countries nearby.

For all your pretty pictures, the only ACTUAL aggressor in this scenario is Russia. NATO has invaded zero European countries since their intervention in the Yugoslavian civil war some 2 1/2 decades ago. Russia has invaded at least a half-dozen.

On impact, the RKG-3 detonates a shaped charge (demonstrated in yellow in this cutout) that fires a hypersonic slug of copper with enough force to penetrate more than 20 centimeters of armor.
