$$$Ka-Ching!
Once the Afghanistan Billion Dollar MIC Graft Spigot was turned off, the MIC had to find another spigot fast.
And the MIC grifters don’t give a damn if the war materiel ever makes it to the eastern Ukraine battlefields, or if it’s blown up in arsenals or on rail cars or in truck convoys.
All of the war materiel taken from U.S. stocks and sent to Ukraine will be replaced at full cost to the U.S. taxpayer.
“War is business, and business is good!”
“...maybe even a couple of years to get there”
LOL, got to be sure that Lockheed has their twice-annual Drag Queen parades, or it will even take longer to get production going.
Of course, this whole exercise is to enrich the military industrial complex, which then greases the palms of the politicians who favor this conflict. they hope it goes on for a long time, and is not just a quickie affair. So while you cheer-lead this conflict keep that in mind, because that is the true motive. Would they like to weaken Russia? Sure, because it gives them, the politicians and the military industrial complex, more power and wealth.
“War is business, and business is good!”
Gotta keep the money flowing so there’s a lot of it to fatten those campaign coffers. It’s an election year after all.
Keane, a former board member at weapons maker General Dynamics, is chair of AM General, the company that makes Humvees. He also sits on the boards of Cyalume Technologies Inc., which manufactures military chemical lights and other technology deployed on the battlefield in Afghanistan, and the Institute for the Study of War, a think tank that publishes defense policy proposals with the aim of “developing the next generation of national security leaders” and is backed by CACI International Inc., General Dynamics, and other defense contractors.

All Right Freepers, this is getting ridiculous.
Already seven responses to the article and not one of them can I argue with. Damn!
That’s only because there are a lot of idiots here.. Russia launched the war, we gave munitions to the country under attack to defend itself, we need to replace those munitions for our own military. That’s not a conspiracy it’s reality.
The price of a Javelin missile ranges from $200000 to $250000. The substantial difference between the high end and the low end has happened on account of purchasing different quantities and having conditions.
Just like the revolving door with the CDC and Big Pharma, there is a revolving door with government agencies and the big defense contractors. (Remember the cozy arrangement between FBI directory Comey and Lockheed Martin?)

When you run out of milk, do you not buy more?

What a wonderful opportunity to “flush” all the weapons down the drain, then golly gee, we need to purchase *more*! To the tune of $33 billion for 6 months. So U.S. defense contractors not only get contracts for *our* needs, now they get the contracts for our proxy war with Russia. It will be all fun, games, and no-bid military contracts until the war escalates out of control.
Yep. I just print up some money and go buy more.
And there it is. LM isn’t giving Ukraine these missiles out of the goodness of their heart or support for their cause..... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
