American beer was popular. Now I only drink it in a bar to save a buck.
Stationed in Berlin I went to my first German-American beer fest there - think it was July.
Loved German beer!
However, I walked in the gate to the fest and was passing German after German toting out cases of American Budweiser.
Finally I stopped one guy and asked him why all these Germans were taking home Bud.
He replied, "In summer it's nice. It's like Kool-Aid!"
