I didn’t know it was called intermittent fasting, until recently, but I’ve been doing this for over 10 years. First meal is at 11 am and last meal is at 5 pm. I just called it skipping breakfast and not snacking after dinner.

Kept my weight down and my mood positive. Blood work is good and I do not feel deprived at all. It is about calorie reduction but not by eliminating entire categories of food. If I want bread, I eat bread. If I want cake, I eat a pc of cake. What I found w/ myself is that I don’t really want to eat junk food/crap food, at least not much and not often.

Everyone is different, but this has worked for me.

Yeah, I was able to lose all the fat with IF, it works really well.

You *can* eat whatever you want provided the calories are reduced, but one very quickly learns what foods are “stick to your ribs” and what foods will “spoil your dinner”.

I have a pretty strong sweet tooth, so it was difficult at times, but I’ve found mixed nuts, cheddar, eggs to be particularly good at keeping one feeling “full”.

With practice though, I’m able to eat most anything. Willpower and discipline are necessary at times, despite the experts. The key thing is to look at these things as permanent lifestyle changes. Not something to be abandoned and “go back to normal”.

Normal is what made everybody grossly Obese and dying early.
