You were nine?
I had an older brother and sister. The Beatles and Beach Boys are the earliest music I can recall hearing. By the time I was 9 years old I was hooked on Hendrix, Cream, Led Zep, Allmans and Frank Zappa.
Indeed I was.
The youngest of five in a very arty, ecclectic family. Oldest brother came back from college with Patti Smith, The Ramones and the Sex Pistols in his record collection and I was on my way.
My parents (who were WW2/beatnik artists themselves) were in their fifties and sixties by then, I was practically feral and already a BIG personality — so, sorry I didn’t have the traditional Ward and June upbringing, but I did okay.
