“stakeholder” is the new euphemism for collective ownership, ie for advancing collectivism, ie, socialism.
A stakeholder is someone who has some interest, regardless how remote, in an entity.
And by that definition everyone of us is a stakeholder of everything, since pretty much everything has some direct or indirect effect on us. Which means we are all owners of all that exists and as such we have the right to be on the board of every corporation whether we are shareholders or not. And we are already seeing that starting to play out.
Taken to its logical conclusion, the people own everything more or less equally. Sounds a lot like communism.
