NASCAR continues to abandon its customer base

The "motorsport" sanctioning bodies have always kissed sponsor azz. Be it the France family or Wally Parks, etc... the gatekeepers and money toadies say "yes, sir" to the suits and then tap dance around the fan base, urinating on their backs and telling them it's raining.

NASCAR has been so blatant about it of late, I can not for the life of me understand why anyone spends a dime on that crap anymore.

My uncle took me to Bridgehampton Raceway on eastern Long Island in 1963 to see the Grand National Race which Richard Petty won . I was 11 . I got Fireball Roberts autograph . Petty won a grand prize money !

I,too, used to be a big fan back in the day when they were running Detroit iron and raced from the waving of the green to drop of the checkered flag.

The new NASCAR format is not racing.

Yep. Used to watch football for the manliness and escape from politics. Now NASCAR too. They used to not have races on Easter and Mother’s Day and pray to Jesus before the race. Is any of that still going on? IDK, because I basically stopped watching after the noose thing spectacle.

Phelps claims he doesn't want the brand associated with politics. It is inconceivable that so-called "Pride Month" is not political. In fact, its promoters say it flat out, such as this from People.com this month:

[Pride month] is part political activism, part celebration of all the LGBTQ community has achieved over the years.

Phelps is either stupid, a liar, or just another leftie.

I go w/ that last, which he previously revealed following the "Let's Go Brandon" race from AP:
