Let me tell you ‘bout my buddy, he’s three thousand years old
He’s wrapped in bandages and covered in moldy debris
My undead mummy and me, hmm-hmm
If a bully ever tries to poke me in the eye
I’ll introduce him to my decomposing guy and he’ll flee
From my undead mummy and me
All the kids at school are gonna have a conniption
When they get a load of my funky Egyptian MC
My undead mummy and me, yeah

The living exhibiting fascination with the dead, interesting. Trajectory of all life is terminal, so perhaps preoccupation with historic proof of universal inevitability makes some sense.

Wow, did you watch the video of the celebration and transportation of the mummies to the new museum south of Cairo? What a dazzling display. It was very well done.
The Egyptian President standing at attention and the commentator remarking that he takes pride in the nation’s history got my attention. You sure wouldn’t find any Democrat in the USA taking such pride in our history!

Of course, the ancient Egyptians were not Arabs like the current rulers of Egypt.

He doesn't seem too bothered by Egypt's extensive slave history. How unwoke of him!

The way the current Egyptians handle this is, is to claim that there was no slavery in ancient Egypt.

What movie is that from?
Egyptian ‘slaves’ were not chattel slaves like in the modern world, but rather willing workers as that was the best pay in town working on monuments - they got food, medical, housing, and pay.

The Egyptian President standing at attention and the commentator remarking that he takes pride in the nation’s history... If he really took pride in his nation's history, he'd fire Zahi Hawass and reevaluate Hawass' heavily biased history of Egypt.
