I mostly agree — no one was hurt and if you blinked, you woud have missed it. But it would have been more appropriate for her to ask the little girl to move over.

I also concur with those who say there would have been an uproar had a conservative done something even remotely similar.

She shoved the child. No big deal means it wasn’t your kid. The first shove was subtle the second not.

Or use both hands like a normal person and coax/guide/point the child for proper placement.
