So, what about Plagues in the Middle Ages, such as the “Black Death,” which killed between 75 million and 200 million people from 1346 to 1353? Everything I have previously read attributes that plague to fleas found on rodents, but perhaps it was really the fault of climate change, industrial development, ecosystem change, or early MAGA Republicans?

Actually, the Black Death was very much because of climate change --- global cooling. Historically the plagues are much worse during the centuries long cooling periods (like the Little Ice Age from AD 1300-1800's) than during the warm periods (like the Modern Warm Period we've been experiencing since the mid 1800's).
We should all be glad we're living during the Modern Warm Period.

What's interesting is the Black Plague and the Plague of Justinian started when the Medieval Warm Period and the Roman Warm Period ended, respectively. So *if* it was climate driven then ironically it was global cooling, not warming.
Just more of the usual idiocy from the usual suspects.

The Neolithic Plague happened around 5000 years ago.
I guess it was all the inequality, climate change and industrial development going on.
