Ukraine has Europe’s third-largest shale oil and gas reserves at 1.2 trillion cubic meters (tcm) just with gas.
Historically, it was the gas depot of the Soviet Union. Corrupt companies like Biden’s screwed it up. But it’s there for the taking.

You’ve got bad information - there is a large NG deposit in the west of Ukraine which is what you are confusing with crude oil.
The info that there is lots of oil in the Donbas comes from some early Russian propaganda, not from actual fact.
You are the one limiting the discussion to “oil”.
Oil and gas is what I’ve been saying.
Yes they have more gas. Which is what powers Europe. But they have plenty of economic oil at $100/bbl.

I certainly don’t recall dehumanizing Ukrainians like you and your fellow travelers have with the Russians, calling them ‘orcs’ and whatnot. (Not there aren’t Freepers who have engaged in such behavior towards the Ukrainians, and I’ve seen plenty of it from both sides.)
I’ve been fairly consistent in my opinion that this is not America’s fight, that the pro-Ukraine propaganda posted during the initial weeks of the war was particularly distasteful in its seemingly mindless uniformity, and that neither side is all that deserving of our aid. However, that doesn’t mean I have to see the Ukrainians and the Russians as ‘other’.
So you can keep your empty charge of hypocrisy for someone who cares for your moral condemnation.
