When I was a kid in Mississippi, I used to look for arrowheads in freshly plowed fields especially right after a rain! They are worth $ nowadays!....................
When I was a kid in Virginia, other kids found Civil War bullets in the plowed earth. There was one kid who had a whole cigar box full of them, he showed me.
They looked like weathered lumps of lead. Some of them had a recognizable shape; when I later learned what a Minie ball was, I knew that's what these were.
A friend of mine managed a tree farm on the banks of the lower Umpqua River in Oregon. He and his crew always found plenty of arrowheads and a spear point or two after plowing.
I used to find musketballs all the time when I was a kid. We lived near to where the final battle with Santa Anna was fought in the Texas Revolution.
My dad found gobs of arrowheads all over west texas on our/our relatives ranches in the 30-50’s including a lot of really old and rare stuff and I’ve managed to keep up with most of it.
Wisconsin is lousy with Arrowheads. I’ve found a few through the years. :)
