I drive 100+ miles every day. So that “argument” would be designed to convince us we don’t NEED to drive 100 miles.
No kidding. I get it, ‘most’ people in a suburban/urban area drive around town 90% of the time . . . but almost all people also have a 70+ mile drive at least a couple times a year. In terms of round trip, a 35 miles is a laughably short distance.

That argument can’t be made but there might be enough short-range drivers for whom this car is a good match.
Mazda has given the car’s specifications. Buyers can decide. If the car is well made I’m not going to criticize it.
