Incoming University of Michigan medical school students staged a walk-out during the pro-life keynote speaker's speech during their White Coat Ceremony.
Hundreds of students had previously petitioned to get Dr Kristin Collier, assistant professor of medicine at UMMS, removed from the initiation because of her anti-abortion stance.
But after their first protest failed, dozens of students got up from their seats and left the auditorium as Christian Dr Collier took to the stage to address them.
Footage shows some of those present clapping as Dr Collier starts her speech, but others stood and filed out as she continued to speak.
Starting her speech, Collier said that she was 'honored' to have been chosen as the speaker, ignoring the mass walkout.
She said: 'I want to acknowledge the deep wounds our community has suffered over the past several weeks. We have a great deal of work to do for healing to occur.
'And I hope that for today, for this time, we can focus on what matters most: coming together to support our newly accepted students and their families with the goal of welcoming them into one of the greatest vocations that exist on this earth.'
She has previously spoken on a 'Pro-Life' Feminism panel discussion hosted Notre Dame Office of Life & Human Dignity, an office within the McGrath Institute for Church Life in 2019.

Agreed. They haven’t the respect for life which I would wish to find in anyone treating myself or loved one.
They’re incoming. I’d expel them and admit those that didn’t make the cut. There are other medical schools out there. They can wait a year. Dozens? How many stayed?
I’m going to buy a YUGE fake fur coat, self-identify as a cat, show up at my vet’s office and beg her to treat me.

UofM has a seriously leftist population so this isn’t surprising.
Wouldn’t want any of these people as my doctor.
Serious levels of bigotry on their part if you are going throw this kind of a fit and storm out.
They should be kicked out of school. They are not suitable candidates to be doctors and there are doubtless many who are qualified that would like to take their places.
Agreed there are plenty of students on the waiting list to get a spot .
Imagine those clowns having anything to do with your health.
(It’s akin to imagining what AOC would do to a calculus exam.)
The Hippocratic Oath is meaningless to the current woke med students. They want the right to murder the unborn instead of holding true to the oath that is now useless to them.
They should be remembered for future decisions by those in need of doctors, where the current crop of med students should not even be granted med degrees.
I hope they don’t bring their bigotry into the field of medicine.
But this the world we are hurtling to......
to bad the school won’t boot these students from the incoming class and let them learn the joys of being burger flippers.
Names, we need the names of these people willing to kill for money.
They won't be doctors they will be government technocrats. No hiring allowed.. see instructions instead. There will be a future? That's a question, lol.
