The Chinese just use the foreign companies to access their IP. Then make copies of their products. They improve their own models and then command their populace to buy their own brands. so the foreign companies are stripped and broken. They’re forced out basically.

this has been going on for decades.

Mysteries of mysteries as to why companies don’t learn.

They are in a no win situation in china. they exchange short term gains for long term losses.

That is what happened to my sister’s company. They beat their brains out over quality control and substandard products, only to learn that their Chinese partners were selling the rejected parts directly to their customers. That when on for a few years until the Chinese supplier pretty much stopped producing any acceptable units, and the company went out of business. You can still by crappy name-brand knock offs of the original product in branded packaging, but the company is long gone.
